OK, so a quick update to let you all know that our file has made it to Ethiopia!!! It landed on Saturday morning at 8:28 am and was signed for by our orphanage at 10:16 am. So, it is sitting there, I'm assuming, in some person's office waiting, along with all of us, for a little baby's picture and history to be added to it..
YIPPI....

Woop, woop!
VERY exciting!! Congratulations!
Hi there, thanks for visiting my blog. And congratulations on getting your dossier in country. I am sorry if my post made you uncomfortable, I was not intending to do that. When I say no AA parent would loc a child's hair, I stand by that. The exception would be someone that wears locs and by a childs request. I studied Locs and the culture extensively during grad school and it is disproportionately visible in transracial situations. I love Toronto by the way and know that there is a lot of culturally diverse areas and many Jamaicans, Africans and Haitians who believe in locs for spiritual reasons.
Stay strong, I know you know that this adoption thing is definitely not for the faint at heart!
